Together we’ll bridge the gap between the surrounding reefs
with a Corona Coral Patch, restoring the area’s marine biodiversity

Help us restore the ocean by as little as £1 and we’ll match your donation.

All money will go to the funding of restoring a degraded coral reef.

Figure based on an average from a global study 2009-18 ‘Status of Coral Reefs of the World: 2020 (Souter, 2020).’ UK, 18+. Donations are capped up to £50k.

With your help, we want to connect a barren patch of coral between two healthy reefs, revitalising the ecosystem.

This ‘bridge’ made from new pieces of climate change-resilient coral will restore habitats of the area, allowing critical sets of fish and invertebrates to return, maintaining a healthy reef for species such as Green Turtles, Southern Stingrays, Butterflyfish, Parrotfish and Reef Sharks.

We are sponsoring this critical area of coral in the south coast of Grand Bahama. The size of the restored area will be over 100m².

You will support an expedition out to the reef to collect coral fragments of opportunity – corals that have been broken from the reef by storms and human activity.

The coral collected will become parents to hundreds of micro-fragments grown by Coral Vita. This breakthrough method grows coral at a rate 50x faster than in the ocean.

After 6 months our coral is placed in our cookie shaped containers and planted back into the ocean ready to restore the reef.
