Coral Vita Secures Historic $8 Million Series A to Scale Coral Restoration

Coral Vita Raises $8M Series A Led by Builders Vision - ImpactAlpha

We’re thrilled to announce that Coral Vita has been featured in ImpactAlpha for achieving a groundbreaking milestone: raising over $8 million in Series A funding, making us among the first coral restoration-focused companies to reach this significant investment stage.

The funding round was led by Builders Vision, founded by Walmart heir Lukas Walton, with participation from leading impact investors including Katapult Ocean, iAlumbra, Aureolis Ventures, Colorado Coral, and Rising Tide. Walton praised our “cutting-edge genetic technology to enhance coral survivability” and “strong organic growth and sales from a diverse customer base.”

Since launching our pioneering land-based coral farm in 2019, we’ve successfully grown over 100,000 corals across 52 species in the Bahamas, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Our innovative microfragmentation techniques allow us to grow corals up to 50 times faster than in nature, transforming restoration timelines from decades to months.

As our Chief Reef Officer Sam Teicher noted, “We are proving that the blue economy and ecological infrastructure is investable, profitable, and impactful.” This funding will accelerate our expansion of restoration-as-a-service offerings and technology licensing, bringing hope to the 90% of coral reefs threatened by climate change.
